Privacy policy
Last updated 17 October 2026
Iqra Lock is built so that your reading, your location and your app use stay on your iPhone. We don't collect personal data, we have no accounts and we don't track you.
What stays on your iPhone
- Apps you lock. You choose them with Apple's Screen Time. Apple gives Iqra Lock opaque tokens, not app names, and they never leave your device.
- Location. If you allow it, Iqra Lock reads your location once to calculate prayer times on your iPhone. You can search for a city instead. Your location is never sent to us or anyone else.
- Reading progress. Your streak, bookmarks and progress are stored on your device and in its backups.
Recitation audio
When you play a recitation, Iqra Lock streams the audio file from everyayah.com. Like any web request, that server sees your IP address. Iqra Lock sends no identifiers with it.
Purchases
Subscriptions are handled by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Apple's privacy policy applies to those transactions.
Children
Iqra Lock is suitable for all ages and doesn't knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.
